Ontario has given the green light for restaurants to open at 50% capacity to rooms that are open for the public. This new development is to take effect from Wednesday, June 30.
The State Authority has released the guidelines to be used by owners and operators of restaurants and bars to ensure that their food location complies with all the requirements applicable under law. Some of the major requirements are:
1. Owners must strictly follow the advice of health officials
2. Must maintain active screening of staff
3. A strict adherence to face coverings and masks
4. No buffet-style dining
5. At least two meters of physical distancing must be maintained, and room occupation must not exceed 50%. This must be writing and placed on prominent signage.
6. Strict cleaning and disinfecting must be observed at all times
